The area is adorned by an Andalusian landscape and is situated on the coast in the province of Huelva. It is an undiscovered area, where you can enjoy an authentic Spain! The beaches are wide and elongated and are part of the most beautiful beaches in Spain.

Restaurant tips in the area

Of course we can’t have this information complete without giving some restaurant tips in the vicinity of the apartment.

On the beach of La Antilla is Cervecería Mar de Knas located, the look of the restaurant is simple but the different tapas and the atmosphere excellent!

La Azalea is located in the small shopping street of La Antilla and has been awarded several times for the most original tapas of La Antilla. Nice combinations of dishes for a neat price. For delicious fish you can go to Macho or Miramar , both overlooking the beach of La Antilla. You can also order a gazpacho, a unique (cold) tomato soup, typical for the region!

For a nice Spanish concept there is both in the centre of La Antilla and Islantilla de Cervecería 100 montaditos. Montadito is the Spanish word for sandwich. You will receive a card where you can choose between 100 different sandwiches (mini pistols), fish, meat, vegetarian or sweet with prices ranging from 1 to 2 euros. You can give your order and name at the bar, and your order will be called when it is ready. From the same owner there is also a hamburger restaurant – The good burger, located next to Cervecería 100 montaditos in Islantilla and a restaurant with the same concept focused on fish (gambas) and other dishes to share, located opposite Cerveceria 100 montaditos in Islantilla.

Of course you can also stroll through the streets and visit a nice restaurant. There are many Spanish restaurants, but certainly also good Italian and international eateries to find.

Costa de la Luz

The beaches near La Antilla and Islantilla are also worth a visit. For example El Rompido, a virtually deserted sandy beach with the ultimate in clear seawater. On the border of Portugal are the spectacular beaches of Punta de Moral and Isla Canela. The last beach has a beautiful view of fantastic sunsets!

Villages in the area

The apartment is located in the village of Islantilla, which is known for its excellent golf courses. Both Islantilla and the adjacent La Antilla are situated on the beach and have a small centre with (tourist) shops and real Spanish restaurants.
In the months October to May it is quiet and there is a very relaxed atmosphere. The months of June, July and August are also the holiday months of the Spanish public and that makes the centre and also the beach lively and cozy.

Sevilla

Of course a trip to the beautiful Seville should not be missed. In this city you can visit both beautiful Spanish buildings, such as the ancient cathedral and the Plaza de Espana and you can also find the best tapas to make your Spanish stay complete!

Portugal

Portugal also has many beautiful villages, where you can taste the real Portuguese life. Vila Real de Santo Antonio or Tavira are located a short distance from the apartment and are great to spend a morning, afternoon and/or evening. Both villages are located on the coast, which makes this day complete with a visit to the Portuguese beaches.

Golfcourse “Campo de Golf Islantilla”

Islantilla has one of the best golf courses in Huelva: 27 holes surrounded by typical landscapes of the Costa de la Luz and with the possibility of enjoying 3 golf circuits of 9 holes each. Inaugurated in 1992, it is the venue for some of the most important golf tournaments in Andalusia, being the only one in the province of Huelva to hold a European Tour event, such as the Spain Masters Tour in 1995. In addition, in 2000 it was listed by Golf Digest magazine as one of the 100 best golf courses in Europe.
