The surroundings
The apartments are located in Islantilla, on the Costa de la Luz, on the Atlantic coast of the province of Huelva. This is a relatively undiscovered part of southern Spain, where peace, space and nature are central.
Islantilla is a spacious seaside resort with a focus on greenery, comfort and quality. The Costa de la Luz owes its name to the special light and openness of the landscape. The Atlantic coast here has remained natural and feels less crowded than the Mediterranean, with a fresh sea breeze and plenty of space for walking and relaxing.
Thanks to the mild Atlantic climate, this region is attractive all year round. Lively and atmospheric in summer, it is mainly quiet and relaxed outside the summer months. Ideal for those who love beach walks, golf, nature and authentic Spanish life, without the hustle and bustle of well-known seaside resorts.
No mass tourism, but the real Spain: vast beaches, traditional villages and a relaxed pace of life.

Macho en Miramar
For lovers of fresh fish, Macha and Miramar are highly recommended. Both restaurants are located directly on La Antilla beach and offer beautiful sea views. Be sure to try gazpacho, the famous cold tomato soup that is so typical of Andalusia.
Titanic Bar
Titanic Bar is a pleasant place to spend time throughout the day. Whether you wish to enjoy a quality coffee and breakfast in the morning, relax with lunch during the day, or have a drink in the afternoon or evening, there is always a relaxed atmosphere here. Lovers of Italian cuisine should head to Pavarotti, known for its tasty pizzas and other Italian specialities. The restaurant is reasonably priced and popular with both locals and visitors.
Of course, you can also stroll through the streets yourself and find a nice restaurant. There are many Spanish restaurants, but you can also find good Italian and international eateries.
El Jardin de Rubens

In addition, the surroundings invite you to explore on your own. During a walk through La Antilla and Islantilla, you will discover numerous Spanish, Italian and international restaurants, each with its own character and atmosphere.
costa de la luz
The beaches around La Antilla and Islantilla are also well worth a visit. Nearby is El Rompido, a long, quiet sandy beach with clear sea water and an unspoilt appearance. This beach feels spacious and natural and is ideal for long walks and relaxation.
Closer to the Portuguese border are the beaches of Punta de Moral and Isla Canela, known for their wide coastline and open character. Isla Canela in particular is known for its impressive sunsets, with sweeping views of the sea and the surrounding coast.
The Costa de la Luz is often compared to the Algarve, but it stands out for its tranquillity and authenticity. This part of Andalusia is characterised by wide beaches, dune areas, pine forests and an open landscape. The atmosphere is relaxed and pure, with less mass tourism and more space to enjoy nature, the sea and Andalusian life.
It is precisely this combination of beauty, tranquillity and space that makes the Costa de la Luz so special — a region where life still moves at a pleasant pace, with every comfort within reach.

nearby villages
The apartment is located in Islantilla, a coastal town on the Costa de la Luz known for its golf course and relaxed atmosphere. The neighbouring town of La Antilla is located directly on the sea and, together with Islantilla, offers a pleasant combination of beach, nature and amenities.
Both towns have a compact centre with (tourist) shops, cosy terraces and authentic Spanish restaurants. This keeps the atmosphere manageable and relaxed, without large crowds.
From October to May, it is remarkably quiet here and there is a relaxed, almost village-like character. In June, July and August, the area becomes livelier when the Spanish public also comes here on holiday. This creates extra conviviality in the centre and on the beach, while the open layout of the area offers plenty of space.

La Donana Nature Reserve
A short drive from Islantilla is the Doñana National Park, one of the most important nature reserves in Spain and even Europe. This vast park is known for its unique landscapes of dunes, marshes, forests and beaches, and is a protected habitat for countless bird species and wild animals.
Doñana is a paradise for nature lovers and offers plenty of opportunities for walks, excursions and observing flora and fauna. The proximity of this nature reserve underlines the peaceful and unspoilt character of the Costa de la Luz, where nature and space are still abundant.

Sevilla
A trip to Seville is a must during a stay on the Costa de la Luz. This lively city is known for its impressive Spanish architecture, such as the centuries-old cathedral and the Plaza de España.
Seville exudes Andalusian atmosphere and is also the place to enjoy excellent tapas. A day in this city is a nice change from the tranquillity of the coast and completes your stay in southern Spain.

Portugal
Portugal is also a short distance away and offers plenty of opportunities for a relaxing getaway. Places such as Vila Real de Santo António and Tavira are charming towns where you can experience authentic Portuguese life.
Both places are located on the coast and are ideal for a morning, afternoon or evening out, possibly combined with a visit to the Portuguese beaches. A great way to easily discover another country during your stay.

Golf
A short walk from the apartments is Islantilla Golf Resort, a beautiful 27-hole golf course on the Costa de la Luz. The course is harmoniously integrated into the landscape and is known for its peaceful atmosphere and natural appearance.
Thanks to the mild climate, golfing is possible here almost all year round. The combination of tranquillity, space and greenery makes this area attractive for lovers of golf and nature, without the hustle and bustle of more touristy regions.
